Find this hiking gem off of County Road C in Sainte Genevieve County, past Weingarten town MO Hwy 32. Not a great distance in length so can be done as fast as your legs will carry you or as slowly as you enjoy strolling. Great...More

We headed out to this canyon hoping for a great hike and were absolutely rewarded with 2 gorgeous, challenging hikes. There are 2 trails (one on each side of the road where we parked) that we saw so we went on the 1 mile hike...More

The one mile hike was a great loop, with an interesting descent (relatively steep on one side, as noted in an earlier review for those with small children) and not too strenuous ascent on the way back. Loved the creek crossings, as we went at...More

This is a nice hike with lots of boulders and rock formations. Also many caves along the route. Saw some families here with small children. Not good. There are many cliffs and you would need to watch them constantly

....its too nice. We went on a chilly and damp day when rain was threatening. It was gorgeous. Waterfalls and ferns and beauty everywhere unspoiled by commercialism and other people.

It really neat to see especially during the winter when the water running over the bluff has frozen.

The Hickory Canyons nature area is a fun hike. The spur adjacent to the parking lot has a wet weather waterfall and the canyon loop is a rugged hike up and down rocky hills and along a creek.

I thought Hickory Canyon was a nice short hike. I hope to go back after a good rain so I can actually see the water fall. This would be a great place for some beautiful pictures.
