A beautiful state park with a full service lodge that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner (and ice cream). The hatchery is always a favorite spot for the kids to feed the fish. It's set in a valley and is beautiful all year long.

We love this place. Been coming here for years. Nice bath houses with plenty of showers. Very clean. They have a place to wash your clothes if you need to. The lodge always had a dinner special if you don't want to cook. Great place.

It's a very beautiful park with multiple trout in the streams. We had campsite 412 and the current river could be accessed from our campsite. Many different areas you could fish from. If you don't fish, not much else to do there. We ate at the lodge restaurant twice. One meal was very good and the second one so-so. Their... More

I've been going to Montauk since I was a child. My great- grandfather to my father have been there thru their life. I've taken my friends and now family down to experience what Montauk state park is about. Whether you like to fish in a cold stream or just enjoy the quiet of the park by a campfire. This is... Love, love, love the park! This is the #1 trout fishing area in MO and it's understandable! Opening day of trout fishing is not the day to be here, because it's shoulder-to-shoulder fishermen and women. Otherwise, be prepared for a lot of family fun. This is a part of the Current River, so parents...have your little ones wear life jackets... More

We camped there in a tent in mid-July. Campsite was adequate. I have stayed in other state parks in Missouri with nicer facilities but overall, fine. The campsites are pretty close together and there is little to no privacy so that is somewhat of a con for us. The state park, itself, is very nice. There is a lodge with... More

Me and my son had a wonderful time at Montauk State Park. Walking around in the village was beautiful. We went for a day trip but I would highly recommend it as a peaceful relaxing weekend getaway. It is a beautiful town.
