This is a great park in the city to go out for a stroll. The trails are paved, the restrooms are fully accessible, with powered doors and ample space in the handicap access stall. The only disappointment is they do not have a special needs play equipment area... yet! The nearest parks with the special needs swings is at Westport... More

I love this park . . . the flower & shrub garden beds are delightful to visit in season & the MO Extension Center's agricultural area are my thing. But more than that, there is something for all ages - playground, butterfly house, Nathanael Greene farmhouse, etc, Japanese Stroll Garden, Drummond Lake (with ducks), trails, picnic areas, & more. It's... More

Beautiful walking trails and fantastic gardens (especially the roses, irises, and hostas). A small lake with water fowl makes a great background for photos. There's a butterfly house, and the Japanese stroll garden is well worth the small admission fee. Make sure to come during all seasons. The park is also home to the home of the founder of Springfield... More

Fabulous hosta garden. Well worth the trip. And the shade means it is a pleasant outing when the temperature is high.

We go here a lot for leisure, photo shoots, etc. It's gorgeous, and there are neat things to climb on, like butterflies, mushrooms, etc.

This is a beautifully maintained park that I enjoy the year around. There are bike and walking paths, rose gardens, a butterfly house, a lovely lake with a walk-around path, and a beautiful botanical garden. Classes and a meeting area is available for gardening enthusiasts. All-in-all, a wonderful addition to the Springfield Park system.

Pretty park nestled close to town. Quiet and calming place to spend the afternoon. The walk around the lake is not too strenous.

This park has a lot going on! Japanese stroll garden with fish feeding, beautiful scenery and landscaping everywhere, trails which go even farther around town, a butterfly house, botanical center and gift shop, multiple types of show gardens, historical house and barn, and that's not even all. You can get your daily run in here, or just meander around for... More

So much work and planning has gone into these gardens. Every season offers something beautiful and interesting. I love to catch the Iris and Peonies in full bloom. The varieties are countless. The new redbud and Magnolia tree garden is likewise fascinating. I never tire of walking the trails.
