Good place to relax and just walk.

Great place to see nature right on the edge of Springfield. Great walking trails. Lots of shade in the summer.

Love the learning area inside, but my sons have seen it so many times now they don't much care for it any more. Always love walking the trails, there are some wonderfully peaceful spots I love to go sit and read.

We've visited the park several times and hiked most of its trails. Trails did not disappoint and the nature center is great for the kids.

We've been coming here when we visit Springfield since they opened it. It is at the far corner of the city, so depending on where in the city you are, it could be a 20+ min. drive. But, it is the perfect place to take kids to let them run off some energy, go for a stroll, or a pretty... More

Had a great time with the family at the Nature Center. Inside is very hands on and interactive. Trails with great views await outside. The terrain is not difficult but the hills might be tough on some. This will be a consistent stop for us to continue experiencing. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgable.

I've been going to the Nature Center ever since I was a little kid and I love it just as much today as I did back then. There are several walking trails that range from easy (1/8th of a mile, all paved) to extremely long and difficult (7mi trail that connects to sequoita park). No matter what trail you pick... More

This place is beautiful. A super walking trail network which is well-marked. The nature center is also very well done and has fun interactive exhibit s. I strong recommend this place. You'll need 2-3 hours.

The nature trails are an amazing place for a walk, jog, etc. Most of the time you will run into all sorts of wildlife, whether it's deer, turkey, chipmunks, lizards, turtles, etc. The trails are beautiful and some of them run alongside Lake Springfield/James River. It's safe, and there are usually plenty of other people around. You can also check... More

The staff at the nature center are very friendly. There are many things for the children to explore in the front building. The trails are gorgeous!! Bring a camera for some great photo opportunities. We saw the beginnings of the leaves changing for Fall; I'm sure it will be even more spectacular in a few weeks. The hike can be... More

We live only a half hour from the Springfield Nature Center. If it's a nice day, and we have no other plans, we will drive to the center for a nature walk. Depending on the time, or distance, we want to spend....there are several options. We enjoy the "long trail" the most. Beautiful surroundings. Sometimes I go there alone to... More
