My 6 year old granddaughter and I went, it is our second time. We had a lot of fun although it was over Martin Luther King day and they seemed to have no help. Last time we went we experienced everything but this time the bike was shut down there was no one in the station help areas. We only... More

Our boys are 2, 4 and 13 so sometimes the oldest is bored with the things that entertain the little ones. Not the case here. There were plenty of things for him to fidget with while the little boys played. I thought it was going to be a small place based on the first area. I was pleasantly surprised that... More

We visited the Discovery Center in Springfield for the first time over the weekend and thought it was fantastic! There were SO many different hands on adventures and stations, it was impossible to experience them all in the 3 hours we there there. We dug for dinosaur bones, made giant bubbles, saw electricity do crazy things, and spent almost an... More

We have passes for the Discovery Center and our four kids go throughout the year. It is a great place to take them and the reciprocity with other museums and centers, like TDC of Springfield makes it well worth the money.

I visited this place after an invite from someone who worked there. It was a free day. I could immediately tell that it was a place to bring children to. A lot of hands on activities and exhibits. There were some things that adults could learn from or find to be interesting. I went by myself and felt a little... More

We recently found this discovery Center on our recent visit to Springfield. This place was great for kids to run around and explore. There were lots of activities and hands-on displays for the kids to interact with and for the adults. One of the exhibits had on-site scientists to explain some of the exhibits that we were seeing. I would... More

This is a ton of fun if you have energetic, curious children. It is especially nice to go there on a rainy or cold day to burn off energy. You can spend hours there exploring the exhibits. We started going when my son was probably two years old, and now at age seven he still enjoys going.

this is especially for kids but even as an adult I had a great time. Not everything was open but the things we did were fun. we even did the dna sample.
