We spotted the tee pees from the road and decided to turn and visit, we figured this would be another great quirky stop along Route 66. How wrong we were. As soon as we pulled up in the car park we were met with a screaming woman telling us to get off her #%@#$& property, then a man appeared yelling... More

This is the MOST TERRIFYING customer experience I have ever encountered. We saw the tee-pees and pulled in to see what they had to purchase. My daughter hopped out of the car and asked if they had a bathroom, the owner asked her if we were going to buy something. I told her we were coming in (I have never... More

I was on Old 66, so thought I would stop to have a look. There was a gentleman working outside and he came up to my car to tell me he had crafts from seven Indian Tribes in his shop, but it would cost $5 to come inside and look (which could be applied to any purchase). Given he had... More

I have to agree that this was not my favorite Route 66 experience. I just visited this "shop" yesterday on my way home, having started out in Cuba, MO. I almost didn't stop.. I have seen the place over on the side of the frontage road for years and just decided to pop over without reading these reviews. I'd have... More

These people did not get it. They open a store and then treat visitors very very unfriendly. You have to pay to get entrance to the store and then they look at you (hover over you) as if they want to see you leave as soon as possible. Went there once but will never go there again. Also, I would... More

Pass this place all the time on hwy 44. Decided to stop in with two of my children. As soon as we stepped out of the car a woman approached me and explained that in order to come in we each needed to pay two dollars which would go toward any purchases we made. I explained that we were just... More

My daughter just called me from the road extremely upset and traumatized by her stop at the Indian Harvest Tepees. Many the same things that happened to others happened to her.....Hostile and threatening language. She and her son left as quickly as possible but not before she called the local police. The police receive many calls regarding this business and... More

Really a 0!!! Actually, I'd have to say a -10! I am giving 1 star only so that I can comment and warn other travellers to stay away. The woman who owns this place is a psychopath! I pulled in, excited to buy a souvenir on my trip. A woman walked out and started watering her plants. It took me... More

While traveling on Highway 66 through Union Missouri we happened upon this unique road side gift shop/photo opportunity. It's one of those places along the road with nothing else around it, you can see it from the highway and have time to turn off if you are traveling west. The teepees make a wonderful nostalgic background for the fun route... More
