Welcome to Big Sky Resort: home of the biggest skiing in America. Now, with the addition of the Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks terrain, Big Sky is even bigger! Towering at 11,166 feet and expanding over 5,750 skiable acres, Big Sky stands as a luxurious outpost on the edge Yellowstone's most wild country.

Only 45 minutes from Yellowstone National Park and with over 400"of annual snowfall Big Sky offers down hill skiing, snowboarding, spa getaways, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and more.

In summer the adventure continues with wildlife viewing, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, biking, hiking, horseback riding, climbing or experience our mountain safari and tram ride to the top with the legendary Lone Peak Expedition.

In short, Big Sky is where the few come to roam, live big, and experience an adventure all their own.

got a family package for stay and ski. Had to as the $100 per day lift tickets would have cost us a small fortune. that all being said, the place is amazing. go to the website and choose a package, I can't remember the name of the lodge we stayed, but they are all pretty close together. the village itself... Visited the resort this past summer w the grand-kids aged 6-10. The basecamp area was lots of fun for them- giant swing, bungee jumper, ski lift to top of mountain and lunch. The young folks helping with the amusements were friendly and really good with the kids. The amusements were fun for the kids and safety was always stressed. Go... More

We are a family with teens and pre-teens. There is a wide range of slopes for any ability. From easy bunny slopes to the extra-extra hard double black diamond. We all find something to ski. Lots of fun.

Big Sky itself extends about 12 miles, with the ski areas near the top. Lots of lodging, nice looking ski slopes (we were here off-season), and plenty of eateries and ski shops.

My wife and I made reservations for the Big Sky resort through our timeshare. We were later informed that the resort would be closed two days after we arrived but that our accommodations were still available. We decided to use them despite the resort being closed as our agenda was about Yellowstone and not the resort. The staff at the... More

It can get busy at Big Sky but compared to Jackson Hole or a lot of the other big name destinations it is virtual valet service. Tonnes of terrain for all skill levels. The mountain is kind of like a big sombrero so make sure you have speed hitting the run outs...especially on a snowboard. That said, you can spend... More

I left Big Sky Resort already planning a trip back in the future, started thinking about going to area hotels but decided that would be foolish since this group does everything so well. From the Front desk, ski ride lift operators, restaurants and van drivers deliver exceptional service. Everything you want to do is right here, hiking, shopping, skiing, trail... More
