Welcome to Big Sky Resort: home of the biggest skiing in America. Now, with the addition of the Moonlight Basin and Spanish Peaks terrain, Big Sky is even bigger! Towering at 11,166 feet and expanding over 5,750 skiable acres, Big Sky stands as a luxurious outpost on the edge Yellowstone's most wild country.

Only 45 minutes from Yellowstone National Park and with over 400"of annual snowfall Big Sky offers down hill skiing, snowboarding, spa getaways, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and more.

In summer the adventure continues with wildlife viewing, zipline tours, whitewater rafting, biking, hiking, horseback riding, climbing or experience our mountain safari and tram ride to the top with the legendary Lone Peak Expedition.

In short, Big Sky is where the few come to roam, live big, and experience an adventure all their own.

Skied at the end of January to early Feb. Lots of runs for everyone's ability: groomed runs, ungroomed runs, trees runs. If the winds are not too strong, it is worth a trip to the top of Lone Mountain. If you just want to take in the view, leave your skis at the bottom of the tram. Take your poles... More

Big Sky is the best Skiing in North America. The skiing terrain is the biggest in NA. The slopes offer a wide variety of runs that will meet the needs of beginners to experts. The beginner area is relatively well isolated from advanced skiers; much more so then other ski resorts. There are long groomers, steep chutes, long bump runs... More

We just skied 5 out of the last 6 days. Super snow. Plenty to ski without hiking too much, more if hiking is your thing. Tree skiing was nice at lower elevation. Powder stashes to be found for sure on the backside by Shedhorn double and Dakota triple. If you can get one of the first chairs up the powder... More

My advice is for whoever is reading this "book now"!! We enjoyed the awesome skiing!! They also had beautiful quiet clean rooms. A very friendly staff everywhere on the property. Out door hot tubs and pools....Very cold getting out but they provided nice warm robes! My advice is book it now! We're going back but not nearly soon enough!!

This resort is awesome! It's a HUGE mountain that absorbs the crowds. The terrain is varied, offering a lot of options for every level of skier. The food is great. They're really upscale places to eat and super casual options as well. Very friendly staff all over the mountain. It was easy to rent gear, and easy to store it... More

This is my 4th time at Big Sky over the past 20 years. I've been to quite a few Colorado ski resorts and Big Sky, in my opinion, tops them all. I say this for a couple reasons: a) one of the largest, if not the largest, geographical mountain range of runs for all levels of skiers. b) no lift... More

In a world of superlatives, Big Sky lives up to its hype!!! My wife and I have skied 40 plus of the top 50 in North America and none stack up to Big Sky when it comes to expert terrain, no crowds and great on mountain lifts. We spent 6 weeks here this winter and had a wonderful experience. The... More

Extensive runs with no queues! Wide open deserted runs!! Regardless of ski ability- plenty of different level runs! If you have a lesson request Ursula as your ski instructor- best instructor I've every had- listens to your goals and then makes sure you achieve them!!

We have gone to Big Sky annually since 1996. An incredible mountain to ski and a great place to visit. Good restaurants. Trips to Yellowstone are always a highlight. Uncrowded ski runs and great variety. We live in Park City UT so we know great ski areas. Don't miss it!
