Great mountain with wonderful snow and long runs to suit any skill level. Low on crowds and lift lines. Moonlight Basin is typically less crowded, but the big sky side has the most challenging runs.

As long as you can ski blue runs you can make it to the tram base. You can ride to the top as a passenger, look around then ride back. Go on a clear day for a good view (all I saw was clouds). If...More

When we went up in the Gondola we had a clear view for probably 100+ miles in every direction. The wind was a little brisk, but for high level skiers the run down the back of Lone Peak is an exhilarating experience. You can also...More

No lift lines and huge selection of ski runs makes this the best ski resort in the U.S. and only an hour's drive from Yellowstone National Park.

Depending on the season, the peak can be accessed by tram (summer) or as a skier(winter). The event center for Big Sky Resort sits at the base of the mountain. Lodging, shopping, dining, and outdoor activities all start here.

Yes, we went left (bone crusher is right after chair llift) and it is a gradual climb on a wide open path around the side of the peak. Not a hard hike, but spectacular views!
