When you are in Bozeman you should visit this museum. You will come away learning a lot about dinosaurs which lived in Montana and the MSU students and professors who discovered the bones. There is a large room full of Native American artifacts, costumes and photographs. Another hall is full of early Montana historical items, carriages and homes. The planetarium... More

We were able to see the Pompei exhibit which was amazing. Taking our kid through there was such a great opportunity to provide education and to discuss ecosystems and dinosaurs. She's obsessed with them and it was so cool to share my "Jurassic Park" nerd side with her. It's very well constructed in here, flows rather decently and there's so... More

If you got an hour or 6-hours....check it out! Great dino exhibit and special exhibits. They could change out the Montana regional history a bit...same thing all the time. I liked the Pompey exhibit. Worth the visit for locals and tourist.

This is a world class dinosaur museum that was the template for the one at the Smithsonian. It is just spectacular. Lots of one-of-a-kind displays. They also have a local history section, a Yellowstone Park memorabilia section, a American Indian section and always feature a traveling display on everything from Napoleon to alligators. This place is NEVER boring and also... More

Very good dinosaur exhibit and the historic Montana stuff is great. Always a rotating exhibit in the front, so that's fun for a little change

Kids loved it. Pioneer and Native American displays were really good. The dinosaurs were fantastic. Largest Tyronnasaur Rex's ever found! A ton of whatever they call Stegasourus now.

Surprisingly large number of fossil exhibits and man-made exhibits with travelling exhibits shown and rotated every few months. Looking forward to the crocodilian one to come this spring. Past ones included a huge throng of live frogs and also photographic exhibits from National Geographic. Summer is the best time, the old homestead with the family actors show what it was... More

This was a nice museum. Not an all day event though. Only spent half day and definitely had our fill. Get there early to avoid all the out of control kids for sure. Glad we went but once was enough.

Our visit occurred on the last day of the Pompeii exhibit and it was fantastic. The planetarium production was excellent as well. We purchased a membership for a year. It will take a few visits to take it all in. All in all well worth the time .
