Ft. Benton is such an interesting town and the bridge is a real center piece. It's a great place to walk, hang out, watch the river or take in a sunset and it's absolutely free! There is a lot more than the bridge in Ft. Benton; several museums, a cool used book store, great scenery and the Missouri River literally... More

This bridge is blocked at one side so it is totally a pedestrian walking experience. You can get lovely views of the river from both directions.

There is a lovely paved walkway along the Missouri in Fort Benton, with interesting signage about the town's much rowdier past. The best part is being able to stroll across the river on an old bridge that has been converted to purely pedestrian use. There are benches and even a couple of picnic tables on the bridge where you can... More

This is a replacement for the original bridge but still old. It used to be a toll bridge but today you can cross it but no further--the end is fenced off. It's a good view of the Missouri where steamboats used to run.

My Friend came all the way from Ohio and we visited FT Benton and sat on the bridge for awhile, looking over the Missouri River. It's a fine old Bridge and there are benches to sit on, so one can soak in the sights in FT Benton and the Missouri.

A walk along this bridge took us across the river with views of the riparian areas. Very interesting.

Loved walking across the Mighty MO - we've driven across it many, many times, but never got to walk on it. All that history!

Loved the bridge! Pedestrians only. A wonderful place to walk. Saw deer in the woods on the other side. Beautiful vistas!
