A little town with lots of character! A town name with a story. Stores and restaurants with huckleberry everything and a great big dam too. A must place to visit while in the Glacier Park area.

Don't stay in Hungry Hose. Stay in Whitefish. Whitefish has bars, restaurants and facilities and in the summer months a farmers market on every Tuesday. Hungry Horse has... nothing.

Loved the Elk burger and they served their huckleberry pie with huckleberry ice cream at The Huckleberry Patch. Lots of antiques as well as places to get Montana and Hungry Horse souvenirs.

If in the Montana area you must stop and have a look at this dam. It is breathtaking, with the mountains in the background, and such a clean lake. We were on the west side but you can drive around the whole lake, I believe it's 135 miles around. A must stop to look at the dam

This is a cute little town outside of Glacier National Park. We all cracked up at the logo Hungry Horse. It looks like a starving horse-it's a little creepy. But the town seems to embrace and it's on several signs. Lots of unique shops for huckleberry productions and antiques.

Hungry Horse is a little small town near Glacier National Park that offers basics for travelers in terms of groceries) but, especially, it has some neat souvenir stores and antique shops that are worth to stop by. It is certainly small but a perfect stop after a day in Glacier.

Hungry Horse has interesting antique shops to explore. It is a great place to stay to get more affordable accommodations to visit Glacier National Park.
