There was a special exhibit by tribal artists and it was very interesting and unusual in their media. Barbara Peterson was the docent and we really enjoyed her descriptions of the art.

Occasional student art classes and exhibitions offered. I love seeing beginner and experienced artists together under one roof. Often amazing local artists offer a fresh new perspective of Glacier National Park and other Montana beauty.

We always. Is it when there is a new exhibit - great pieces from 30 local artists on the local area including Glacier Matilnal Park as well as great photography by a local photographer. You can't go wrong by visiting.

Great local history and very helpful volunteers. Enjoyed the art and the cookies and coffee on Senior day. I took my mother with me.

I was extremely impressed by the Hockaday Museum, which specializes in high quality Fine Art (that is, representational / impressionist / realist - not the modern art another reviewer seemed to be looking for! There are plenty of other places for that!) The exhibit I...More

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The museum, however, is very small, in a remote location and probably underfunded. As such, there isn’t anything there worth a visit.

We stopped by while passing through to Glacier because we know some Hockaday's in Iowa. Museum is small'ish but nicely done. It's in a former Carnegie library building. For $5 admission it's worth stopping by.

Museum features local artists specializing in Native American art. Art lessons are popular with school children. There is a nice gift shop too.
