This place kind of spans the gament of cool things to do and look at. Inside has cool references to history and various related items. Outside it's still an active train depot where trains drive through and occaisionally stop. Everything from trains of coal to...More

The renovation they have made kept the dignity, beauty, and history intact for a great authentic feel of history. The displays and information on Livingston's rich railroad history were lively and entertaining. The collection of real-life artifacts and the stories behind them gave plenty to...More

We are not classic train buffs, but found plenty of interesting displays to entertain us. This museum is open part of the year only, then it rents out to weddings & events, so check before you go.

A second visit for us, and we again were pleased with the place and with those staffing it. Friendly, informative and interesting. We picnicked and watched trains, enjoying our visit inside and out. Save your ticket for a discount at the Yellowstone Gateway Museum.

We always stop and visit here when in Livingston. A great wealth of information about the town, it's origins, and how much the railroad contributed to the growth of Livingston. Very nice attraction here.

I took my young grandson and 10 year old nephew. We moved quickly through the museum. It is well done but not designed for young children. I will have to return when I don't have children in tow.

Nicely preserved beautiful old building. Hope they continue to build their collection of artifacts. Convenient to the downtown area.
