We were told about the foundation from a local business owner. Great displays of wildlife. Very educational. Has several Elk displays and the region of the west they came from. Very educational.

Loved the displays and the educational information, plus added electronically shared info. Maps and animal displays were the best we have seen. Lots of parking plus walking trails to enjoy as well. Family orientated too.

This is great foundation that supports elk and other wildlife and their habitats. This particular facility has a nice exhibit of habitat preservation, trophy animal mounts, and a theater to view informative documentaries about RMEF.

My family have been here several times and we always learn something more each time. The Foundation is trying to assist other parts of the country strengthen elk population as well. The facility itself is spacious, clean with displays and a theater running an educational video. The staff there are knowledgable about events and issues relating to elk. It would... More

I love wildlife and we do not have any Elk where we currently live. This foundation was very impressive and had tons of information that kept my attention the entire time. I had to leave sooner than I wanted so I will be back next time I am in Missoula. Great place!

Stop by the International Headquarters of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and learn about one of the most majestic animals to walk the earth. The exhibits are first class and very well done. Lots for both adults and kids to look at and learn about the Wapiti (Native American Indian word for "white rump").

This is an impressive building with a nice display of mounted animals. A nice break, if traveling by car. Free to look, nice bathrooms and a small store area. Lots of information too.

We stopped at the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on our way to Glacier Park. They have very nice interpretive displays and information appropriate for kids and adults. My wife also bought several tee shirts for the grand kids. This is well worth your time to see and a nice break from driving. For elk hunters a must stop.
