I visited First People's Buffalo Jump with my son and his girlfriend. From the moment we arrived we were transported back in time. The Interpretive center was informative as was the Ranger talk at the teepee. We borrowed a trail map that explained all of the stops along the very easy 3 mile walk. We were fortunate enough to see... More

First Peoples Buffalo Jump is perhaps one of the only museums/historic sites where I can say I truly felt transported back in time. The visitor's center is also excellent with some interesting interactive exhibits on the jump itself as well as Native Americans and specific tribes and their histories. There also a few mounted buffalo you are invited to touch... More

This Buffalo jump was on my list to see and I was NOT disappointed. The center had nice exhibits and very informative stations. We took the walk 3 mile loop to the jump itself which was totally awesome. The windy prairie was great ---iconic. We were super fortunate to see a prairie rattlesnake. So cool! If you are not able... The Buffalo jump on the plateau above the Visitors' Center is interesting (magnificent views; prairie dogs; the jump itself), but for me the most interesting information is in the VC, where there is a great amount of info on the plains Indians and their history. If you are at all interested in history, this is a must-see. It's also good... More

The actual cliffs don't look like much but if you take the time to walk up there and see the jump from the top it's really quite amazing. You can really imagine all the buffalo being forced over the edge, what a sight it must have been, It's also a bit haunting like being at a cemetery. The views on... More

Very easy to find off the I.15,drive through Ulm and to the visitor centre which has some exhibits, pelts to dress up in and a knowledgeable park ranger who may tell you all about the area. You can either do the 3 mile interesting prairie walk to the jump(watch out for rattlesnakes) or drive to the car park above it... More

Truly enjoyed coming to this site. Really gives you a great perspective and appreciation for the life native Americans led. If you are interested in western history this is a great place to go.

This is a wonderful small historic site. We learned so much in the short time we had to spend. Wonderful friendly guides add to the experience. Beautiful prairie vistas from the "jump".

If you haven't been to a buffalo jump and know the history of such, this is an excellent location to learn and experience the people and the jump of the prairie. Spent a quick hour to drive to top after a quick visit to center. Hike is three miles and watch for snakes.

We happened to be passing this State Park and called in. We spent the next 2 1/2 hours listening to a guide talk about the fascinating history of the place and then walking to the top of the jump. It was very atmospheric and offered great views. A must visit if you pass close by.
