Superb collection of historical and modern Quilts. Beautifully displayed in gallery settings. 3 or 4 curated shows plus several other focused smaller groups or individual Quilt artists showing at all times. The architecture is very interesting by Robert A M Sterns ,incorporating many Quilt motifs.

Were were here for their First Friday concert night and it was a great experience. The acoustics were very nice for the concert, the people were very friendly and the exhibits were interesting for me and my two daughters (5th grade and 1st grade).

I went with 4 other women and I wasn't too excited about the quilt museum. I was mesmerized by the beautiful quilts, and the variety was amazing! Not just 'grandmas quilts', but true art forms and historic ones as well. I would certainly recommend it and if I go back to Lincoln, I would go back, since they change displays.

A tour is the best way to see this beautiful museum. To realize that over 5,000 quilts are housed and cared for here is astounding. The tour in the vault was so interesting and helped us understand the dedication that goes into preserving and maintaining these antique quilts. What a beautiful space for learning and appreciating the history of quilts... More

This place is fantastic if you are looking to gracefully end a romantic relationship. The quilt museum is a large, beautiful, and quiet facility dedicated to quilts. Quilts are kind of like art, except they are boring and passionless. I took a girl here because our relationship was boring and passionless. Afterwards we both agreed that the museum was awful... The International Quilt Study Center and Museum is a hidden gem! Located on the western edge of the East Campus of the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, it is one of those places that, at first, seems mildly interesting. But if you take the chance and go, you will not be disappointed! There are 3 floors of exhibits, a large conference... More

My friend and I took a tour of the quilts on display and then did the behind the scenes tour. It was so interesting! Seeing how they store quilts and getting to see some very unique quilts was a great time. The quilts change periodically so you can go several times a year and not see the same thing. I... More
