The history of this place is very interesting and the village portion fun too when they are doing the reenactment stuff. Otherwise, it's a cabin and a cave with history.

We came to tour the cabin and cave and read the history and it's only open Thur. thru Sunday noon to 5pm. Disappointing, but we'll come back another time since we're both very interested in the history!

Growing up, this was one of the most fascinating stories I heard. And descriptions of the attraction in the good old days was amazing. But this is not the attraction it once was. Dirty, poorly lit, poor exhibits, and really needs to be closed.

There was a good deal of interesting information on slavery and how things went on in the west. Old buildings, mostly in need of work.

They have a lovely gift shop and museum here. It was fun for my son (he's 9) to go underneath the cabin in the storm cellar doors and run through the underground tunnel built for the runaway slaves. This is an interesting historical attraction in...More
