The area out back is great for kids to burn off some energy and use their imaginations. I expected the store itself to be filled with a lot of touristy-junk (spoons and shot glasses, etc.) but was pleasantly surprised to find a wide range of...More

Stopped in during the Great Eclipse Weekend. The place is mostly a store with a few attractions. The miniature Wild West show is underwhelming in this age of CGI dinosaurs but is worth seeing for what passed as entertainment not that long ago. A sort...More

We are glad you stopped, Brent! We are definitely full of 'kitsch' but that is what makes Fort Cody fun. The Wild West Show in miniature is very much 'lo-tech', but it is a fine example of American Folk Art. Did you know the parade...More

Buffalo Bill's Wild West in Miniature is really something, isn't it? We can't imagine how long it took them to carve it all, paint it, and then animate many of the parts. All we know is that it is very cool and we're proud to...More
