We booked far in advance as we were attending a wedding nearby and were unfamiliar with the area, so we were only going on Internet research. My mom was also camping with us (my husband my two kids age 3 & 6 and myself) and...More

We stayed here for one night en-route from Vancouver to the Rockies (Bastion Campground, Herald Provincial Park). Lovely well cared for campground by the shores of Shuswap lake (not far from Salmon Arm). Seems to be popular with families for boating, swimming etc. It's a...More

After driving by so many overcrowded tacky looking camp spots in British Columbia it was lovely to find this treed gem in the Shuswap. The access road can be hard to spot in the dark and the narrow windy road alongside the lake is a...More

This campground is beautiful. We stayed on the upper level which had bigger sites and a bit more private. The lower campgrounds are closer to the beach which was really nice. They have a dog beach and lovely trails.

We were looking for a nice sandy beach for our children after a rocky beach day @ Scotch Creek. Not quite sandy but much better. Perhaps shale-esque is a better way of describing the sand? Anyway, the park itself is immaculate and the beach provided...More

Such a beautiful provincial park, for camping or day trips, on the beautiful Shuswap Lake. We just did a day trip and enjoyed walking through the campsite and taking a hike up to Margaret Falls. Camping spots are spacious and full of beautiful trees.
