We did the Carson to Virginia city tour which takes 90 minutes, plus a 3 hour stay in Virginia city before returning back to Carson city. We were staying just outside of Reno and it took exactly 30 minutes to drive to the train depot....More

Nice cool day for a slow and I mean slow train ride. Beautiful scenic views. Ride on the right side going to Virginia City to see everything. Conductor very informative and funny. A few hours in the city then will return to Carson City.
