Found the Museum open, parked just outside and visited. Interesting things to see associated with this area. Collection is local to what people donated to the museum. Well worth your time to stop and see. Part of the highway 50 trip

The pictures and artifacts are definitely worth the visit. Dayton was the first settled NV town and the epicenter of NV immigration, mining, farming, and railroads. This museum has a great collection of well displayed items illustrating the town's history over the past 150+ years. It is easy to spend a couple of hours, just wandering around and savoring its offerings. Also docents are available to answer questions.

This Museum is located in old Historic Dayton, Nevada just off Highway 50. Large bone yard of old collectables located next to the Museum. Fun spot to learn about local history if you are traveling through Dayton, Nevada.
