It was an awesome day. Got groceries at the commissary, so helpful with the groceries and the girls are delightful. Heard and saw the awesome jet flyover, let’s see if the video comes out. You can hear them but don’t think I caught the planes. So close my car was shaking !! We loved it. Then picked up meds hubby had ordered online. The staff there are extremely friendly as well . Then we went looking at the sites. Tried to find the wildlife viewing area off Pasture road but had no success. But did see a white faced ibis and great blue heron. And of course the yellow headed blackbird. As well as the red tailed hawk. All in all great day!!!…

Trip to see grandson and his family. Visited Virginia City to soak up the Old West history .. and local dining and sites.

If you have base access and extra time make a stop out here. Have always been curious about this base and finally made an effort to visit. Takes a little more than 1 hour to get here from Reno. Lots of decommissioned planes on display on the base down the road from the exchange and commissary. Walk around the planes like a self guided tour and learn some history of each aircraft out there. If you plan on going out there and want to go to the commissary, remember it’s closed on Sunday and Monday so you don’t waste a trip out there. Exchange is decent sized just like the commissary, smaller than most but has the basics you need.…
