I drive over 3 hours to Freys Distillery. And as of yet I have purchased over 5 case's of all their products. Ashley has a great personality . I belong to a cigar club and when I brought some of the Gin, Bourbon & Rye whiskeys they fell in love. On 1/9/21 will be another road trip! Single barrel here i come.

We enjoyed our visit to Frey Ranch. They offer both distilled spirits and wine at their tasting room. It is refreshing to speak with the owners and hear their passion for producing the best possible spirits. Their whiskey was not bottles yet, but coming soon. We enjoyed the Malbec and 4grain Vodka. Stop in if you are in the area.

An unexpected gem just outside of Fallon, they have free wine and spirit tastings as well as a free tour. We went with a group of 10 and they were very welcoming and friendly! Everyone left with a bottle of the clear gin that has the taste of cardamom. If you’re in the area, stop by!

We like to bring friends out here when they visit. Only open on Saturday 11-4 so plan well. They have great liquors and wine. Including Brandy, Gin made from local juniper and sage, Absinthe, Vodka. And they’re coming out with a bourbon whiskey. Sadly they are pull away from the wines. They only have 2 or three still. Great tasting room and tour. Don’t miss.

Continuing our exploration of Fallon, we saw that Frey Ranch offered tours and tastings from noon to 4pm on Saturdays so we decided to check it out. This is also the home of Churchill Vineyards which we didn't realize until we got there. They offer tastings every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. The property is located about 8 miles outside of town and is easy to find. There are a series of buildings but it's easy to identify the tasting room and there is ample parking. There was even a cute farm dog that lazily greeted us when we got out of the car. The tasting room was inviting and the two ladies immediately greeted us and made us feel very welcome. They explained that a tour was currently going on but that we were welcome to begin tasting while we waited. We also noticed they had a BOGO sale on their apparel for small business Saturday which was a nice surprise! We started with the wines and then began tasting the spirits. It was fun to try things and learn that all of the grains used to produce their gin, vodka, bourbon whiskey, absinthe and other spirits are grown, distilled, malted and bottled right there on the property -- which I'm sure can't be said for most places. The tour in progress when we arrived finished up and while we originally had the place to ourselves it quickly filled up. We joined another couple on our tour and it was informative and interesting. They have a beautiful property and it's impressive to see what they are doing! So glad we stopped in - it was an awesome experience and we ended up getting a few things for ourselves and a Christmas gift as well.
