Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve read about this Bar and it’s history for awhile and made a point to stop. It’s in a very quaint section of their old part of town. There used to be bra’s hanging all over the place until Hollywood actress Rachel Welch stopped there. They asked he I’d she would leave her bra. I guess she stipulated she would if all the others were taken down. So only hers is hanging on the wall. Lots of things plastered all over the walls. Friendly service and good drinks ! 👍

I went the the ghost town of Genoa NV. Outside of town is their cemetery. In the middle of the big twon are two buildings that are old. One is this bar. It is the oldest watering establishment in Nevada dating back to 1861. A lot of old neat things on the walls.

Stop and enjoy a cold adult beverage in this historic Nevada Bar. Plenty to read while you are resting at the bar.
On a note of information, There is no food service available, therefore if your plans include having a meal, you will have to look elsewhere.

Just an old time bar with history from the 1850's...and dust and memorabilia. Good place to rest while touring quaint Genoa

Stopped by with a fairly large group (12 of us) and had a fun time talking with locals and just browsing around the place. Drinks were good too. A fun place to visit.

The saloon was established in 1853! The town boasts being the first settlement in Nevada. The bar is nothing fancy but it’s a cool setting and the drinks were great.

Be for warned. Drinks are made very strong. Not for sissies. Great mix if customers from bikers to stylish golfers. Lots of atmosphere. Service was excellent. Two thumbs up.

We were excited to see the oldest watering hole in Nevada complete with all it's western charm. Upon walking in, the saloon was blaring heavy metal music, and it was filled with "burly bikers playing pool", who were probably quite nice people, but looked up at us like "what are you doing in here?" We promptly turned and walked out. Not the cool, charming, historic saloons like in Tombstone, AZ. We could hear the music at night from the balcony of our room down the street. Oh well, some folks may like that sort of scene...just disappointed.

Neat little bar with tons of character and history! The whole street is full of charm! There is one gas chandelier from the 1850s! They only light it New Years Eve! The other lights have been converted but still so pretty! Definitely worth a stop!
