We have driven up to Mount charleston several times just for the snow! And the hot chocolate at the restaurant up there. The roads can be a bit scary especially at Christmas so be careful but the views are great.

Nice hike. It's an easy drive from Las Vegas depending on where you drive in from 30 to 45 minutes. The hikes are well marked. The altitude >6000 feet so be aware of this for intensity.

When you drive to the top it becomes New Hampshire with pine trees and snow. IN VEGAS A nice diversion from the craziness pof the strip and down town.

Beautiful. A great experience. Very green and verdant for somewhere so close to Vegas. Would strongly recommend as a change to the Vegas scenery.

It's really exciting to see how the landscape and vegetation changes as you drive up the winding road and the temperature decreases significantly. There is little to do at the top. There are some rental cabins and a lodge. In the lodge is a mediocre...More

No the lodge does not have sleds but further up the road, the ski area might. I recommend staying there at least one night, you have the choice of the hotel or renting a cabin. The cabins are clean. It is a beautiful... More
