In May we had appointment for shampoo and blow dry which we asked the day before and we were told $45 to $50 which was ok. Arrived I told them my name and shampoo and blow dry and the lady said come with me and she took me into a room and told me to lie on the bed. I thought that's funny when you are having a shampoo but thought this must be what they do here. She rubbed my face said your skin is dry and then she put something on my face then used an instrument made by NASA which she said was $1200.dollars I said I wasn't buying it. She then said to me I have taken your makeup off so I'll have to redo it so with your hair it will be $380 I was shocked I am 73 years old and I was shocked and scared so I didn't say anything and when we went to pay she said it's 20% tip which was $76 so total $456.00 and I was only there for an hour. In Australia this cost is about $620 I have never paid anything like this before and by the reviews these people have done this sort of thing several times. So BELIEVE me DONT GO THERE or you will be caught too

My friend and I were in Vegas to celebrate her 60th birthday. We booked an appointment over the phone here for a shampoo and blow dry. We were told the price starts at $45 and can go up depending on the length of your hair. When I arrived the gal that did my hair said she would shampoo me and add a conditioner prior to blow drying my hair - I said fine then she told me the price would be $130. I immediately got up out of my chair to leave....I told her I was quoted $45. She said "well you wanted to add the condition"...my immediate response was "not for that price"!! I have short hair and still had to pay $65. My friend has shoulder length hair and she had to pay $65 and they didn't even wash her hair - only used a curling iron on it. We asked for a bottle of water and they brought us water in a styrofoam cup. No other guests were in the salon. The place was terrible!! We were so sorry we didn't just leave when they told us the price. And sadly neither of us liked our hair - almost ruined the birthday celebration but we didn't let it. But we both felt very taken - the place is a scam and they lie about their prices!!! And just to clarify, when we were there in Jan. 2016 the name is Uno Salon in the Flamingo.

So I'm in las Vegas for fun with the husband. I have very thick curly hair and wanted to get a blow out to straighten out my hair. Much easier to have someone else do it and I actually got the appointment before coming out to las Vegas and was very excited. Got to the salon told the woman what I wanted, shampoo and blow out I was told it would be $45.00 when I made the appointment. She looked at my hair and said it would be $150.00!!! If I wanted ALL that....so she said she could condition my hair with some cream and use the blow dryer.. Long story short $90.00 later I ended up in my room with my straightening iron doing my own hair. I'm beyond pissed off!!! NEVER NEVER NEVER GO THERE!!!!!!!!!

I have my wedding booked at the Flamingo for June 2015. I thought it would be convenient for the whole bridal party to get their hair and makeup done at the Alexandra Noel salon inside the hotel/casino. When I called, the lady sounded confused and told me they DO NOT offer any kind of special bridal packages or pricing. The Flamingo website (salon link) clearly says, "Bridal Party Packages." So I called back again. The lady I originally spoke with put someone else on the phone. She was super rude! She said they can't help me! I'm super angry with that phone experience. I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere!
