We bought VIP tickets, thought oh good we'll sit closer to the front and get 2 free drinks, don't waste your money! The room is very small any spot would've been good to sit at. He wanted you to clap and cheer the entire time I didn't care for that never had to before during a Hypnotist show. He didn't have them do very many things. And he told them napkins were money so there was so many napkins all over the floor throughout the entire show, I thought that was dumb. We've been to a Hypnotist at Planet Hollywood 3 different years and he was fantastic and we laughed so hard. Don't waste your money on Hypnotist Unleased I would never ever go again.

Hello,
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show as much as others did. We strive to make every seat in the house a good seat and as comfortable as possible.
Yes, we definitely make the volunteers think napkins are $100 bills. We also turn them into showgirls, make guys pregnant, have them laugh and scream on command along with turning them in to rock stars, movie stars, astronauts, making couples celebrating multiple years of marriage fall even deeper in love and more. All while making sure the volunteers feel excited and great, never embarrassed. I'm sorry you didn't feel that was enough.
I hope you enjoyed the rest of your trip to Vegas.
All the best

We are sorry we went! He definitely gives hypnosis a bad name. I would never be hypnotized by this vulgar jerk. I'm surprised he hasn't been sued!

I am truly surprised at the good reviews here. I have seen several hypnosis shows, and this one was the worst I have seen. Usually, I am rolling in the aisles laughing at what these hynotists can do. Not here. In my opinion, I think Kevin really needs to rethink some of his "tricks".
I went looking for an adult evening, so the crudeness did not bother me. But, I felt myself quickly concerned about the potential damage the mindgames were having on some of the younger participants. I also found the show very unprofessional.
(spoiler alert)
At one point, Kevin has the participants imagine they are each "seeing" his/her parents in a porn. "Dad is about to pull out..." Really? Why is this necessary? Moreover, for some folks, that could be something seriously emotionally wounding to "see". It would be just as fun - and less off-putting to say "your best friend is in a porn..." and run with tha gagt. Or, how bout "your ex". Using parents crossed the line for me.
At another point, he has everyone "seeing" the scariest movie ever. "Here comes the axe...". For some, movies like that can be seriously disturbing. Why take the chance that a participant is a victim of past violence? Or, simply hates those movies as do I?
Another moment has men and women participants reaching orgasm for the audience's enjoyment. Exciting to see for voyeurs perhaps -- but, deeply vulnerable and revealing for participants - especially for some women. In my show, one gal was thrusting out of her chair. Clearly, she thought she was climaxing. How will she feel when she watches the DVD and discovers she demonstrated this for a room full of strangers? I also wondered: What about participants who have never experienced orgasm before?
I was surprised that Kevin allowed someone on stage who was late and missed the safety briefing. The participant turned out to be funny, but I could see it going badly, too.
There were other problems. The beginning film is a joke. It is an unprofessional homemade video - with typos and disjointed clips of comedians and movies. This is a Vegas headliner?
Kevin gets the crowd chanting his name to encourage more X rated fun. I found this too much like a Jerry Springer episode.
Then, there was the young gal who took flash pictures - twice. A pro would have put the offender in her place in a funny way. Kevin just got plain nasty. It jolted the energy of the show too much.
Finally, at the end, while Kevin is "giving" the particpants a hynotic gift, the chosen background music was Tori Amos' "Silent All These Years". Great emotionally charged song, but completely the wrong choice for that moment of the show. The moment is supposed to be a happy finale - the song is a major downer.
Anyway, maybe I was just the wrong demographic for this show - but, I thought it was really awful.

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the show as much as others have. Your reviews is a very in depth look at what you would have done instead. There are some points I need to answer to:
1) All of the things I have my volunteers do are very safe and tested from many different points of view. For example, when I do the horror movie routine there are three different safety catches you failed to mention (or didn't notice). Same with the adult movie sequence as well. As a certified hypnotherapist who works with approximately 1500 volunteers every year I make sure everyone is kept safe at all time.
2) As far as using the Tori Amos song, I actually find it a very uplifting piece and the music compliments the imagery very well, The 'finale' per se isn't that part of the show.
3) As far as someone taking pictures I gave them two warnings and after the 2nd warning they didn't take anymore. The lady who took the photos even came up to me after the show to apologize.
4) I will watch the opening video again, there shouldn't be typos!
5) Safety briefing? I don't do a safety briefing, I just describe what people can expect onstage and who I'd rather not have participate. His group was there for that.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy this show as much as others have. I hope the rest of your Vegas experience was fun.
Sleep well,
Kevin

I was reading another review that did not rate this show favorably and was surprised that so few people felt the same way. I was not comfortable at all with some of the subject matter presented.
I felt that Kevin could have been more clever. Although the participants had agreed to participate in the show, I am quite sure they would be embarrassed if they saw what they looked like later on video. Perhaps this is Vegas and maybe the people were drunk and don't care, but this I would be ashamed of myself (fun or not).
I don't consider myself to be a prude, but after this show maybe I need to reconsider.
Kevin himself seems like a nice guy after the show and for that I apologize for having to post this review.

Hi Eric,
Well, thank you for saying I am a nice guy. If you feel the need to apologize for your review feel free to take it down!
I make it clear in all my advertising that this is an ADULT SHOW 21 AND OVER and that it uses extreme language. I also make sure that is on the tickets purchased. To further make sure people know the type of show they are going to experience the pre show videos are all comedy clips featuring very adult language.
You say my volunteers may be embarrassed by what they did. Did you notice how many stuck around to get copies of the DVD's to take home? Or how happy the different couples were for having been a part of the show?
I am sorry to be doing such a long response. I wish you had a better time at the show and I hope the rest of your Vegas experience was easier for you.

i fear the only one in the show who is hypnothesized is kevin lepine :
in the show were about 20-30 people audience. kevin tried to select 12 volunteers for the stage. so I and a friend of mine were also selected to be part of his show. then the show began : he tried to hypnothesize us all 12 people. but sorry : 8 volunteers left the stage during 10 minutes. and the other "hypnothesized" people left on the stage were also not "hypnotesized". we should make funny things advised by kevin on the stage. he makes psychological pressure on the guys being on stage - while closing our eyes he makes instructions. if you do not react, his assistence helps you. the longer you follow his instructions, the harder it becomes to lesve the stage. there is a big pressure to stay, otherwise it would show, that all was acted. person leaving the stage are damaging his show. it was easy to recognize that the few left on stages only followed his instructions (e.g.: "think at the funniest movie you ever saw" so that you have to laugh....). the only problem is : he does not hypnothsize the people, he only makes the guys on the stage close their eyes and relax a little. thats all, thats not hypnosis. they only become actors.
I don't know who called kevin "rockstar of hypnosis".... he is definitely an amateur of hypnosis but extremely self-confident. the poor try of him in the answers of the bad comments to say that he is sorry about the authors not having had as much fun as all the others is easily reasoned: the audience of him (although the price is only about 21 dollars) wants to have fun and they only see, what they want to see, to amuse. thats primitive psychology ! kevin at last should face the truth!!! we fear that he has alteady a psychological problem, because he is very agressive on stage and seems extremly frustrated about his poor show.. he doesnt look like on the pictures. when you make this kind of show since 6-8 years but are still unable to hypnotesize, you should ask yourself if this is the right job for you. sorry. we read all the good reviews and were really shocked when we saw this desaster. thats not a vegas show, thats a show maybe for senior-residences or a gig at birthday-parties. its a really interesting experience if you want to see something completely strange and psychological crazy - because it is all fake...

I'm not sure I understand your review.
First, 8 people didn't leave the stage. I send back people who aren't hypnotized. People leaving doesn't, as you say "damage the show", I only keep the best of the best up there.
Second, My induction takes about 4 min (and we have video to back that up).
Third, I'm not sure you know what hypnosis is. There isn't an altered state in hypnosis. Hypnosis is a natural state where the subconscious responds to suggestions.
Fourth, those pictures on the wall where taken last year.
I have been called the "rockstar of Hypnosis" by many different press articles.
As I sincerely say to everyone though, I hope you enjoyed the rest of your stay in Vegas.

There is no way anyone with full possession of their mental faculties should waste money to see this show. You'd be smarter to just dump the cash into the bucket of one of the street performers on Fremont.
Kevin, and his wife, Emily (yeah, the assistant is his wife), attempt to convince the audience that he actually can hypnotize folks. It is embarrassed folks on stage who play along, poor acting even.
The chairs are rock hard. Might as well be sitting on folding chairs.
Advice: just don't. You can't get back that hour of your life, and you certainly won't be getting your cash back.

So I'm guessing your the person we removed for being rude while the rest of your group stayed and enjoyed the show.
But let me talk about all these "issues":
Yes, Emily is my wife. I never make that any secret. I am very fortunate to work along side the love of my life who also happens to have multiple theater degrees and hypnosis training.
Yes, we really hypnotize people. Feel free to check out all over our different pages where you can see pictures and hear from different people we hypnotize every night.
No one gets embarrassed. Once again, read the comments from the people who have volunteered in the past.
The chairs are padded on the bottom and back. You can say you don't like the show, but those chairs are pretty nice and don't fold.

What a mixed bag of reviews on TA. What is one to expect when some rave about the show and claim to have gone back to see it the second and third time while others say "Don't waste your money!"
So...I decided I should ho find out myself.
I was in Vegas attending the CEA - now, that was an awesome experience - and with all the billboards advertising the shows, I could not resist. I got tickets for Paranormal, Penn and Teller and this one.
Well..."this one.." LOL. If you are into pedantics and juvenile humor, by all means, go see it.
I got my ticket from the discount ticket kiosks that line the Strip and it cost me $27. I would rather have given the $27 to some charity and save me a couple of hours of my time in Vegas. I don't mind the crude jokes and sexual innuendos. But this was beyond low. I was left wondering how many of those audience members who "volunteered" to be hypnotized were actually volunteers. If you can't find anything better to do with your $27 and 2 hours of your time, go find out for yourself.
$27 could get you a fantastic buffet which you could enjoy over 2 hours. A much better bet!

Nothing is good about this show starting with the old smelly Hooters Hotel, dark uncomfortable theater. Glad I didn't buy a VIP ticket to guarantee sets in the 3 first rows for extra $10, I paid $20 per ticket on Goldstar. There were about 20 people all together at the show. The worst part was that Kevin was constantly demanding from the audience cheering, laughing, chanting his name, and making the noise, explaining that it will help people on the stage to do better :) People "volunteers" on the stage were very unnatural and we doubt that they were "volunteers". He sent some people back to their seats, explaining that they need more attention to work with. I left the show with a headache and very disappointed.

My husband and I went to see Kevin Lepine for our 34 th Anniversary. It was one of the best show's that we've seen. Kevin is really great at hypnosis, I never thought I'd do anything like that in my life, but I did and it taught me how to relax. If you ever go to Las Vegas make sure that you go see Kevin Lepine. I will go back as soon as I can. Thank You very much Kevin Lepine. 💖💖💖
