We stopped 4 times for a bit. There are awesome photo ops. We were there last week and those mountains and the roads and trails were filled with snow. If you were going in the summer months, it would be way different. We missed an avalanche of snow on the road by 10 minutes! It was 50 degrees, sunny and so much warmer than if we were still in Michigan.
