    Great place
Lovely little hide out inside this hotel. You get some beautiful wildlife and great for taking photos. It is very hot when you step outside as it’s enclosed so seems to trap the heat in the area. Kids would love seeing the animals and it’s free.

    An Oasis in Vegas
My husband and I were here at the Flamingo Hotel on a Friday morning. What an oasis amidst the Las Vegas Strip. So quiet and peaceful. This habitat is approximately 4 acres and it's a free attraction. Such a delight to see some Chilan Flamingos, an assortment of ducks, turtles, some gorgeous fish and the handsomest pelican named Bugsy. Yes he was named after the mobster Bugsy Siegel who opened the Flamingo hotel in 1947. It is very clean and tranquil. Some beautiful waterfalls, ponds and gardens to get some great pictures. We stumbled across the 8:30am keeper talk. Jackie was a wealth of knowledge. You can truly see the love she has for her job and the animals she takes care of. She was wonderful. There is another keeper talk at 2pm if 8:30am is a wee bit too early for you. There is no smoking in this area so, please adhere to that rule. It's nice to get away from all the smoke in Vegas for awhile. We highly recommend you take a stroll through this oasis if you are near the Flamingo Hotel. I believe their hours are 7am - 8pm. Say hello to Bugsy for us.

    Pleasant Oasis a Manic City
We stumbled across this when taking a shortcut through the hotel to avoid the 35c (95f) temp outside and enjoy the aircon of the hotel. The flamingo’s, ducks and koi appear to be well looked after. I fear the pelican has had its wings clipped to stop it flying away - it looked like it was trying to take off but couldn’t.
Thanks for visiting our habitat! The California Brown Pelican is a rescue-rehab bird who has permanent wing damage sustained in the wild, and he is an education ambassador for his species. There are 2 educational keeper talks daily (830am and 2pm). Hope to see you next time you visit!

    Cute & educational
A great FREE & educational walk. This cool lush green wank is great for everyone at every age. You’ll see flamingos, pelicans, turtles, and beautiful, large Koi.I swear the Koi were posing for the camera.

    I love flamingos 🦩😁
My Dad and I were exploring the Strip one day and decided to check out The Flamingo. He told me it’s a classic but it’s a little dated and run down. We were NOT expecting to stumble into a wildlife spot with some really cool birds/fish. I absolutely LOVE flamingos and pelicans so this was a pleasant surprise for me and I enjoyed this area so much I’m debating taking my fiance here to stay when I return! If that area looks this cool and beautiful now I can only imagine what it looked like during the “glory days” of this resort. I would definitely recommend stopping by here if you’re trying to kill some time before the next activity/show!

    Peaceful
We were eating lunch nearby and brought friends to this hideaway to have a relaxing place to talk. We got lucky and were here during the educational feeding time. It was a wonderful and free experience. There are many varieties of fish, some turtles, an engaging pelican, and the stars of the habitat, the flamingos.

    Flamingoes mean vacation!
Had a blast in this area! Flamingos are my favorite animal because I always joke with my family and friends that flamingos mean vacation! 😁 Enjoyed seeing the different birds and animals. I have read though that there used to be way more animals during its “hey day”, and I do agree there’s some areas that felt a little bare and empty, but still a very peaceful, beautiful area with some cool birds!

It is located in the courtyard of the hotel Flamingo.
We wanted to check this site out.
Access is free.
It is a small wildlife habitat with flamingos, birds, turtles, fish. There are some brown pelicans, ducks.
Fake grass. The place does not seem to be well maintained, it has a pungent smell and the animals do not look good, just like a bad and sad zoo, where animals, in innatural conditions, perform unhappily for tourists.
It needs to be cleaned and urgently renovated.
We left after few minutes in a mood of despondency and sadness.
Not worth a special trip to see it

Worth the time to walk through the gardens, see the birds and fish, and read the information about the different species. A welcomed respite from the neon, noise, and cement of the Strip. But as others have mentioned, the area needs a good cleaning. I didn't notice any smell, but the human-produced trash (cigarette butts, soda cans, wrappers, plastic cups) thrown on the ground and even in the water was distressing. Also, smoking is allowed at the flamingo fountain. Yuck!

The habitat is home to several flamingos, ducks, koi fish and turtles. It is worth a quick visit if you’re walking by. It can be hit or miss depending on the weather as the flamingos are not there during colder weather. Part of it is a smoking area, which is not pleasant for the visitors nor does it seem good for the animals.

The website states "an expansive assortment of wildlife." We read that the habitat had "four acres." Not sure where those acres were but there were literally six flamingos on sight. The place stunk like fish. There were a few ducks. Don't go.
