Such a gorgeous place to visit - the change from desert to mountains is wonderful. The cooler temperatures from the Las Vegas heat was welcome. Have a lazy lunch at the top of Mt Charleston.

Midweek mid-morning traffic, the week after Thanksgiving, was light on this enjoyable drive. Reminded me a great deal of the nearby Eastern Sierra, especially the Rock Creek area near Bishop, but with vastly superior roads. Very, very pretty. My wife wasn't up to hiking, which...More
