Very interesting walking through the desert, lots of plants and animals. Wish I had a book or something to describe what we were seeing. Took lots of picture to look up later. We didn't see any snakes or scorpions, but I'm sure if it was...More

A circular turn-off allows you to park here. A small walk and you can spend a few very quiet moments among the Joshua trees. Even if you miss the sign and official turn-off, you can always pull over to the side of the road to...More

This is probably the most beautiful part of the Nevada desert in my eyes. It is well worth the visit. The Joshua trees bloom once every two years in late February/early March (they will bloom again in 2018), but they are absolutely magnificent any time...More

The view of the Joshua trees is nature at its best. We took a tour that brought us their. Don't get close to the Joshua tree as the ends are very pointy.

Keep going back. Nice place to enjoy a nice walk among "the ancient ones". Can't believe how tall these Joshua trees can grow. Worth exploring. In its eastern border you can see an old coral and windmill

You can have some peace and quiet here and the wilderness is a bit small in size but then again how much bigger do you need it. There's an old growth Joshua Tree forest here which is spectacular. Bird watchers can have some fun here...More

We stumbled upon this while checking out the ghost town of Searchlight. This drive is absolutely beautiful, especially if you like joshua trees. These were the biggest and most vast looking trees of this variety I have ever seen!

This area is pretty easy to get to, but not marked, that I saw. "Birdandhike.com" has a good description of the area, which is how I learned of it. Even the locals had no idea what I was referring to when I asked about "Wee...More
