This church had us at hello! We popped in while waiting to go on the mining tour and are so glad we did. Just walking up in an experience in itself! It's a stunning piece of architecture that literally beckons visitors. Once inside you're greeted by a beautiful & warm cathedral. When we stopped by there were several others visiting... More

The view you see of this church when you enter Virginia City is amazing. The church itself is filled with history and the old "closed pews" are history themselves. Docents were well informed. Church was well kept and welcoming. Worth a stop

The church as well as being in use has a good display about the history of the town. Excellent guide. No charge but donation welcome.

This church stands out more than anything in Virginia City and is such a gorgeous sight. Still standing after all these years is remarkable.

Beautiful church! I have been wanting to visit Virginia City for years. I loved the stained glass windows in the church as well as the history. Good museum. Well worth the visit.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I took a day trip to Virginia City yesterday. We've been there numerous times, but it's been maybe 10 years. We had visited the church before, but didn't remember it very well. It is very impressive! I'm saying this as someone who visited uncounted churches in France and Italy in recent years,... More

The beautiful stained glass window and Gothic architecture in the main sanctuary are worth the stop inside. The photogenic spires and wings on the outside make this a nice addition to your photo collection. And the museum around the side has a lot of rich history and information regarding Virginia City with a guide that really helps flesh out the... More

The hand hewn Gothic beams of redwood and cedar are breathtaking! While I have seen Gothic beams of stone, I was overwhelmed by the beauty of these wooden beams. The pews are also hand carved . And ahhhh, the stain glass windows are deep blues, greens, red, yellow. They will take your breath away. There is also a small gift... More
