Mount Washington is world famous for its inclement weather. Easily 20 degrees cooler at the summit. Dress in layers, +/-gloves. And the winds can get brutal - there were 100mph gusts earlier this week. Only 5mph for us. Our conductor was nice and informative on...More

My extended family enjoyed our trip up and down the mountain. The staff and crew members were very helpful and welcoming. It was a nice day for all.

Kind of expensive, but so interesting! Rode to top and then had time to look around and take pictures before coming down. Don't spend your time eating at top.

We took the early morning steam Cog up Mount Washington. We had one of the 60 days a year were it is CLEAR. We could see for miles and miles. The staff was great, friendly and knowledgeable.

We had heard of the Mt.Washington cog railway and set out to take a ride. The weather stop Mt.Washington can be very difficult - high winds, cold and poor visibility. We lucked out! We had 4.5 mph winds,32 degrees and super visibility. We could actually see...More

This is a pretty expensive adventure....especially for a family. This was far inferior to the Silverton Colorado ride. If you have done that, you will be very very disappointed. We have also ridden old railroads in Switzerland and Norway. This pales by comparison. The top...More

We were touring New England from the UK so had a hire car. We stayed in North Conway but didn't see any buses, either in town or on the route to /from The Cog.
