Imagine finding a store in the middle of nowhere. Then there are a few freezers full of ice cream. Pay is cash by the honor system..... And, it's good. Really good. Fresh with unusual local flavors and a rich custard. Then sit around and enjoy in the fresh air. Life is, indeed, good.

Take it slow, final road in can be a challenge. Dirt roads get rutts and wash outs. The experience of the ride is part of the charm! Ice cream comes in many unique flavors and many sized containers, and those flat little wooden spoons...a step back in time, and worth the trip.

Drive a couple miles down a dirt road and just about the time you think you've gone the wrong way, there it is. The entire operation is self service and on the honor system. You select your ice cream, drop your money in a slot and either take it home or sit down and enjoy it there. There are always... More

We had an ice cream bar at our wedding and all the ice cream came from the Sandwich Creamery. Everyone loved it and people still talk about is how good was the ice cream. I contacted the creamery via email and they were very professional and helpful with ideas. I was very happy with the customer service as well as... More

Yes, the Sandwich Creamery is a cute place to bring kids to see and pet the animals. But don't be fooled by the ice cream. We've been there when the Hood Dairy truck was delivering. If your read the ingredients on their ice cream, you'll see it's obviously not locally made.

After reading how good this ice cream was I went to try it myself. I bought 7 different pints to try as I didn't want to drive back there for awhile incase I loved it. Truthfully it's good ice cream if you like plain Jane ice cream and don't like chunks of stuff in your ice cream like Ben and... More

The ice cream and pick of flavors is outstanding. This little creamery is slowly getting bigger in the immediate area. The little "store" is an honor system. Try it out and you'll return again. Buy local!

Pleasant experience. Beautiful ride. Awesome ice cream. Well worth the venture to Sandwich. When you find it mark it on your GPS because you'll be back again. I promise.

We were visiting our daughter and son in law in the Laconia NhH region and they raved about this ice cream shop they HAD to take us to. It is a bit of ride out on a dirt road but the small towns are beautiful and it is SO WORTH the ride. Rich creamy ice cream, delicious frozen yogart and... More
