we were going to the lower shaker village and this stop was much more interesting. Lifesize stations of cross, nativity scenes made from all over the world on display and very picturesque scenery for walking or a picnic

This wonderful Shrine is easily accessible. The Christmas lights give you a feeling of peace and well being. This was an annual visit in my childhood and returning brings fond memories and profound peace.

A visit to Our Lady of La Salette is an annual event in my family. They have the largest Christmas light display in the area. It is a great place to visit and reflect on the true meaning of the Christmas season.

I enjoyed the history of the church and the history of the area. Originally built by another religious group that did not believe in sex ... eventually .... there were no members left .... humerous ... but what did they expect !

The LaSalettes have a unique presence in this mission territory difficult to describe. The grounds, the ambiance, the intelligence of the Preacher Fr. Rene Butler, and the welcoming, informative nature of this particular religious order is compelling. Quite unique.
