Not only well preserved, but also offering a diverse exposition mostly related to J. W. Valvasor, 17th century polyhistor that lived in the castle. A useful restaurant also here and several cultural events mostly during the warmer part of the year. Beautiful nature around.

It takes some effort to reach Bogensperk, but you are rewarded by a quite nice castle and a romantic small park. Visiting the site is recommended particularly for those interested in the life of Janez Valvasor.
