We camped for 2 nights in early October 2016. The campground was about half full, with a good mix of campers and tents, but everyone was quiet and respectful. No raging bonfires, no loud generators, just beautiful woods and clean facilities.

Did not make reservations for this park, tent camping, but were able to get a good spot. Well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Not a whole lot of hiking trails.

Moose Brook State Park is a nice park. This is a lovely part of a lovely state. Unfortunately, we did not see any moose, though.

Moose Brook Park has wonderful trails; some have somewhat steep grades for those ready for medium exertion, other trails are fairly level for this part of the state. All of the trails are wonderful, traversing spring-fed creeks or Moose Brook. There are bridges over the...More

We've been camping at Moose Brook 1990"s and always enjoyed the clean campground and swimming. Lately, with the advent of the Presidential Range Rail Trail nearby and the mountain bike trails on site, we've enjoyed great biking there, too. Hiking and fishing are also available...More

My one experience in the Catskills was at Diamond Notch. Many of the trails start with a grade similar to that trail, until they begin to ascend steeply over rocks to a summit. If you are willing to do out-and-back hikes... More
