Getting on and off the boat is not wheel chair friendly. To get on and off the boat there are steps and you have to step over the side rail of the boat. When we got back to the dock we had to walk through a second boat and step over the side rail on both boats then down the steps to the dock. I would suggest calling the company to see if the crew would be able to lift the wheel chair onto the boat. Once on the boat your granddaughter should be OK to enjoy the cruise. Other companies have ramps instead of steps to board the boats. However this may present another problem. The width of the chair and the width of the ramps. Will the chair fit? A typical wheel chair might not fit. Call the companies, they will have the information you need. Everyone should have the opportunity to see these magnificent creatures in the wild what ever their mobility challenges.
