I was truly amazed at what a great place this is to board. I was expecting lines/waits due to being school vacation week which is a very busy time period. There was no lines/no waits and the mountain wasn't crowded. I had a good time...More

The air was crisp and I decided to take a ride. The Front Desk Man, Jim @ The Lodge of Jackson Village suggested that I check out Black Mountain Road. I was not disappointed.

Great location- good conditions and friendly staff. My only complaint is the lack of trail signs. If you ski here- you will notice that very few trails are marked and if they are- they do not indicate the ski level- green, blue or black. I...More

Great affordable ski resort, with half day tickets, college student and junior (under 17) rates. Not the fanciest lodge, but decent and worth the cost savings over other, larger ski resorts. Good rental staff, and best of all not big crowds. Good runs and conditions.

Amazing view 1500 climbing feet some parts were a bit steep for young kids but my six year old did it felt great to sit down on the quartz and eat lunch at the top then hike back down and go get ice cream

If you're an experienced rider looking for something that's a little bit more exciting than riding nose to tail around a flat field try out Black Mtn. By nature, this is still a nose to tail trail ride, but with the steep climb and switchback...More

This is a relatively short hike to wonderful views from long rocky areas so there is plenty of room to find your own private picnic spot on the rocks. Steep climb up but do-able by fit people and agile dogs.

Yes it's late March and Black Mountain's slopes are fabulous! The conditions are still prime and not as many skiers heading north at this time of year, Spring skiing at its best so take full advantage!
