Really pretty downtown area with some interesting shops and good restaurants. They are very strict about the parking meters. Watch out for pedestrians, who have the right-of -way, but some tend to dart out into traffic. Keene is really lovely.

This part of town with shops and restaurants is very pretty. Many cool shops and places to eat. A beautiful park with a statue and flowers at one end of town.

Keene is such a lovely town, and while it is actually a small city, it feels so much more like a town, and Central Square is the focal point of that beauty, in all seasons. The gazebo, the church, restaurants, coffee shops, all right within...More

Except for events like the Christmas Tree Lighting, for which traffic is excluded, this is an awful place to sing (I have done this several times) and even highly amplified music is difficult to hear when trucks and motorcycles are only 15' away. Central Square...More

We had no idea how nice downtown Keene was--shops, restaurants, bars, old buildings, churches--it's a very pleasant place to stroll, shop, eat and drink.
