Scenic Train Ride

My toddler loved it. It was scenic and educational for us too. We had an amazing time. Maybe we will go back again.

Disappointed! Drawn out, boring, not worth the money or time . The train was chilly as was the theater . Show was cheesy ! Santa wasted time walking around to every child in theater to Give a hand shake . Took almost 40 minutes! Children were bored . Don't think there is any thing different In the Ticket prices -... Honestly I expected a lot more as the tickets were very pricey. A lot of waiting. It's not like the movie. I was quite disappointed when we arrived back at the train station. It should have more excitement and things to see at the north pole.

We didn't want to spend all day on a train, but wanted a little train ride, so this was a good option at a one and a half hour trip. The place where you begin the trip is worth the visit itself in my opinion. They have made it a very pretty spot, and the mini golf course next door... More

We have been on a lot of train rides and this is one of the best scenic views of them all as you go around lake Winnipesaukee. We went one way as we got off and then got on the MV Mount Washington boat cruise. The staff were all very nice and made for a good time. The fall foliage... More

This is a two hour trip, 10 miles along the river and back. They have a nice gift shop at the depot and you can order a sack lunch to take on the train. Equipment is good and the views are nice along the river. Sit on either side then switch over to the other side when the train stops... More

We booked this ride expecting to have access to a scenic ride with stops for picture taking. I am a serious photography enthusiast so I was looking forward to capture the beautiful scenery. The train rides through the woods so you only see tree trunks passing by and every now and then a clearing where you could shoot a pic... More

Took a ride on the Hobo Railroad with lunch. Fall foliage was beautiful. Simple lunch, sandwiches. Enjoyed the ride.

While I'm not sure I would take this train in any season except autumn, since the travel is slow and one doesn't venture far, during our stay in October it was a beautiful ride. Our train was quite sedate - only a handful of kids rode - and cozy. We didn't purchase the lunch, so I can't speak to that,... More
