The longer trail is 2 miles and very easy. The shorter one is only 1/2 mile. The trails are shady. It's very peaceful and quiet and safe for kids to run around.

The refuge has free parking, hiking trails, maps, clean bathrooms, plenty of parking, free entrance fees. Well worth the visit for a hike, flat ground trails, visit the water's edge with a viewing stand, benches and telescope.

This a great walk for family's with kids it's not to long and fairly flat. A nice stroll through the woods and part of it is on a raised wooden bridge. The Dog even likes the short hike, kind of buggy in the summer time...More

Great place for an easy walk. Birds galore. Nice view of estuary about half way through. Be aware of the poison ivy-it is everywhere!

The short little walk along the boardwalk was pleasant enough but the longer walk on the opposite end was pretty horrendous because of huge muddy areas. Not sure if it's really worth the time. Using my tripod to dry my wet socks!

I was not impressed with this hike. There was only one little corner of the trail that was scenic. The road getting to the trailhead is in a messy disarray and needs repair

I have gone here a few times for walks and have really enjoyed it. It is very clean and you will see a lot of birds and other animals.

We hiked around the refuge for a couple of hours. It was so quiet so we could listen to the birds! Very clean and nice trails.
