I had grilled Atlantic haddock and it was cooked to perfection, we also had calamari which was crispy and perfect. Wine and beer good! Outside seating near harbor a must!

The restaurant has a great rustic feel and the staff were very nice. We were there for brunch and as I watched the table next to ours send back three dishes I kept my hopes up. Everyone enjoyed their meals at our table, but I...More

Love this cozy restaurant by the river. Staff friendly and very helpful. My husband loved the duck and I had the Oar House Delight seafood in lobster sauce. Yummy!! Expensive but worth it for a special night out.

Lots of ambiance but expensive. Our lobster wasn't quite cooked and the asparagus was overdone (crunchy). Won't be back. Nice server though.

Luncheon was not tasty...wilted lettuce, uncrisp bacon, cold soup. and extraordinarily long wait for food--- over 1/2 hour and there was only one other table occupied....Too bad ...in it's day the Oar House was always great.

Fantastic decor - love the old-world, colonial yet upscale atmosphere. Appropriate lighting; good beer and wine selection. Service started out very good; appetizers arrived quickly and fresh. However, the entrees were mediocre: Lobster overcooked, took a really long time to come out. (We joked that...More
