We went in the winter and took some photos by the water. It was still beautiful without the flowers. I didn’t take a photo, but the locks on the fence were very moving 💕

Lovely park right on the waterfront! Just steps from downtown Portsmouth with what appears to be garden beds, however in November only the stems and mulching remain. Will definitely be returning to this enchanting spot come spring!

We went to see a musical show and to walk in the beautiful gardens this summer...delightful all. Watching the show under the stars; watching the boats going into Portsmouth harbor; clean and family friendly; much improved rest rooms.

Wandered through the park during our self-guided walk about Portsmouth. Beautiful gardens, on the water, and has summer shows/plays/activities.

This is a good multi-purpose park for the local citizens to use we were there in Fall so it is what it is.

My guess would be for sunshine and overcast days. The musical instruments would get wet during a concert. There isn't a canopy over the stage.

Yes, you can bring any kind of food and drink EXCEPT alchohol - that is a city restriction on public drinking.
