As a very nerdy person, I had very high expectations going into this store. I will say they lived up to most of them. It's very small and parking is limited to the city provided spots along the curb. You'll also notice that photos are not allowed in the store. Inside you'll find many varieties of candles and all sorts... More

This is one of my favorite places to visit in Portsmouth. It's a tiny shop, but filled with surprises, wonder and amazing merchandise. I love to bring my people here when they visit. There is also another shop of theirs inside Strawberry Bank. This is recommended as well. They even have pickles in a barrel!! The staff is super friendly... More

This is a return visit for me, and Pickwick’s is still as quixotic as it was on my earlier review…… but one recent change makes the shop far less interesting for me and probably means I shall not return. My primary delight in coming here was the ability to try a perfume or scent, wander about the shop a bit... More

The staff at Pickwicks are dressed in period costumes, adding to the charm of this unique store. Unique items and friendly staff! Anything from toys to candy to soaps to journals and much much more! This shop is a definite MUST SEE in Portsmouth.

I absolutely loved walking around this quirky little shop! They had a little bit of everything and a fridge full of old fashioned soda which was fun! Definitely worth stopping by to browse/buy...

The store has a late 18th century feel, but if you are looking for a gift for hard-to-shop friends, you will find it here! Well worth the visit if you are in the city!

I love this store! It is filled with a whacky and wonderful array of excellent, delightful items, all crammed together in a wonderful Dickensian array. From top line, seldom found perfumes to clothing, beard oil and moustache wax, small notebooks, pens, hand soaps, laundry soap, delightful cups and jars and bowls….. the list goes on and on. Plan on spending... More

The staff are always friendly and welcoming, the shelves are always stocked with fanciful and fun things, and you can be sure to find a gift for yourself or a friend! On numerous occasions I've been able to purchase gifts for family and friends, even a few things for myself! Their cocktail and mixology selection is wonderful because I've never... More

This store seems related or to be on the cusp of the Strawberry Banke. The staff is dressed up in period costumes but the shop itself has some very nice, unique offerings.
