This is a nice zoo to visit and It's free, well kept, clean etc. Lots of animals to see and many are endangered therefore they are safe from hunters, poachers etc. Great walkways to see the animals. There is a reptile house with some very scary boas, pythons etc. Good place to visit and walk around on a sunny day.

We had a blast! Went last week with my grandsons and saw all the animals. Very clean, quite, and hardly any people. Animals looked well kept. My grandsons loved it.

That being said, do leave a donation, since that's how this little gem is maintained. We spent several very enjoyable hours wandering the paths and watching the animals. They could easily be charging the extravagant prices of other places, but instead this is more like a community park (and indeed is part of a county park). It was wonderful to... More

It was my first visit to the zoo and it won't be my last. The grounds are beautiful and I saw many different types of animals. Looking forward to spending another day at the zoo on the future.

Very surprised at the size of the zoo and the amount of the animals there. Nicely shading for hot days.

This zoo was a nice and a decent size for being free. The areas were nice and is maintained well. There was construction around the 'farm' animals, so my nephews were not able to get near them. That was something they were looking forward to. We could see that they had them, which was a bummer. The bird house was... More

Thanks for your response and good advice. I do hope you get to come back and visit in June when our new exhibit for our Primates is complete, hence the construction around our farm area. We are growing and improving all the time, hoping to make your Zoo experience the best it can be! More

This zoo is a free, (donation based) beautiful zoo in Cape May County. We do not go to any zoo but here. We don't come here because its free but because the animals are well taken care of, healthy, happy, beautiful and have large and clean exhibits. You can feel the love they have for their animals. Every time we... More

Great county zoo. Have visited here several times and always enjoy it. For a small county zoo, this has lots to see. There’s an indoor bird aviary, plus lots of other animal exhibits. Also outside the zoo are kiddie rides. Downside, there is construction at the zoo, upside more future exhibits. Also, starting to become very crowded, even in March,... More

Came to the zoo and the person who just greeted us gave us information on where to park the car etc. he informed us that the zoo ran on donations. We thought we were going to have to pay to enter and we planned on using out debit card. Unfortunately we had no cash on us. We were hoping there... More

Management response:

I am very sorry about your experience this weekend. I spoke with the booth attendant about what happened and he honestly did not mean it any derogatory way whatsoever, and doesn’t remember the incident. Out of the 2000 + cars that he may greet in a given day, he repeats the same phrase to almost every one of them out... More
