What scenery! I love passing through this gorgeous landmark and marveling at the incredible slabs of uplifted rock pushed up amazing angles into the sky. The signs for the Appalachian Trail make me want to hike those very same mountains! It is gorgeous. I also...More

The Delaware Water Gap is a very impressive force of nature. Hiking is pretty good and rugged, but not very long. Great views (when clear) from the top of the gap. The Appalachian Trail runs right through here, and continues for 28 miles through the...More

When I drive home from PA to NJ, I always look up and see the towering mountains of the Water Gap. To anyone who says NJ is a dump, take them here, just even for 10 minutes and look at the beauty of the area....More

Lots of lakes.... woods... winding roads ... lazy streams winding through the hills and valleys ... beautiful sights any time of year. Worth a visit.

Great if you are interested in a lazy river experience (canoe, inter tubes, etc). The trees keep growing so the overlooks are not too interesting.

One of my favorite books lists 50 geographical wonders of the United States, with four pages devoted to each, giving the history and the unique qualities of each wonder. As a tourist, I've been traveling to each one, and realized that in my home state...More

A word of advice for anyone hiking Kittatinny Point (the hike that is heavily advertised and seen most in the pictures) is to arrive early. The hiking trail parking lot has limited hiking, and turning around required a significant amount of backtracking to turn around...More
