I have done most of the trails in Worthington. There's elevation for a great workout. You can connect several trails to make a loop. I always try to map out a trail that will bring me to Sunfish Pond. It's spectacular!

Lots of well marked hiking trails, be sure to pick up a map to know level of hiking. Some trails are strenuous and could be challenging for the inexperienced. Facilities were well kept and clean, even in the 'off' season.

A very well kept campsite, cheery people checking us in and giving lots of great information on the area, and then a drive to what was a really fantastic campsite. Large areas for your tent, with picnic tables and fire pits, and all of them...More

We stayed here for 2 nights. Our campsite (#23) was lousy, it was basically a mud pit with a picnic table, but in walking to and from the showers, it seemed like every other site was grassy and beautiful, so I think we were just...More

We had an amazing weekend exploring Worthington State Park! Great trail access directly from the campsite to access Sunfish Pond (Garvey Springs to the AT, short but STEEP). The riverside sites (we were in 37) are gorgeous. Highly recommended!!

Parking in Dunnfield parking lot is limited so parking is available in the federal park on the other side of route 80. If that's full parking is available all along Old Mine Road (exit one and make a right) in several lots. Dunnfield lot has...More

No, dogs are only allowed in limited state park campgrounds. Worthington isn’t one of them as of yet.
