- Argenis CFort Worth, Texas24 contributionsKids really like it and enjoy it.It is big to be inside of a mall, but very small compared to the traditional amusements parks. The rides are fun for kids of all ages and even for adults. The nickelodeon slime roller coaster is not fast and it is very short. The Shredder was excellent. The other ninja turtle roller coaster, was not working, as well as a couple of rides, that they mentioned on the website.' The characters show were fun for the little ones and the park is very colorful. Lucky for us, there wasn't a lot of people because we went during a week day. I believe is a good thing to do once. Remember that you can eat onside in the mall and come back if you want.Visited July 2023Travelled with familyWritten 30 October 2023
- amanda gDurham, Connecticut375 contributionsPricey for the experienceWe spent the day at Nickelodeon universe with our kids age 7&10. There is a lot of rides in the small space and the theming is great. However we didn’t feel their were many rides for our kids age group. Most rides are either geared for toddlers or older teens adults. Our kids like the bigger rides, but are not at level of upside down backwards coasters yet. They only went on a total of 6 rides in the day we spent here at $84 per ticket which means we spent almost $15 per kid per ride!!! Long lines were also a concern. Other parks offer way more at a better price. They also do not do the points option on “peak” days which was disappointing as I planned to buy the points pass 2 go on a ride or 2 with my kids rather than buy a full pass. It is nice u can enter the park w out a pass 2 walk around and watch others in ur party go on rides. Overall it was just ok. Also we could not find a single sanitizing station in the park which was disappointing.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 29 December 2023
- traveler413673 contributionsMany rides closed!Check ride status before you go! The day we visited all of the coasters except one were offline (and would be for several days apparently). You could not pay per ride due to it being a “black out date” and the day admission rate ($79) was not discounted despite most of its main rides being closed. The remaining open rides (mostly kiddie rides) had very long lines and the one open coaster had a 60 min wait time. Hugely expensive for what it offered. The park looks very cool and is clean and the decor is great, just wish we could have enjoyed it more.Visited February 2024Travelled with familyWritten 20 February 2024
- Isa B1 contributionSafety Alert.I visit the American Dream Mall often. The mall itself is a great experience for the family. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for some of the staff in the temple rope course challenge. While I was up in the course of the challenge, a staff member from underneath me made some vulgar signals and hinted at me. Please keep your family (females) away from this person since he is also in charge of removing people’s harnesses. I know I should have reported it at the moment, but I was afraid at the moment. - DomenicaP1031177 contributionsRides are cool - staff make it awfulThe rides are cool. Two were out of order the day we were there. Lines weren’t bad. The staff are awful. One of them announced to the entire ride that my daughter didn’t fit and had to get off the ride and then proceeded to laugh and smirk when she asked why (as the max weight limit was 100lbs more than she weighs). She was humiliated and left the ride in tears. I understand there are standards and we would follow them but there is a way to inform someone and it should be legit. Out of everything we did at American Dream over the course of a few days this was the least favorite of the kids (all thrill seekers) and we wouldn’t return.Thank you for visiting American Dream and for sharing your feedback. - adventixBoston, Massachusetts1,978 contributionsIndoor funa lot of good things to say about an indoor amusement park. It is indoor and so not affected by weather or dark/light. It is clean with plenty of restrooms. It is a contained smaller environment and so it is easier to keep track of the kids. it has rides for young and older kids. The downsides are the price (x1.5 than other, outdoor amusement parks), and the fact that some rides are not working. Still, the kids had a wonderful all-day fun.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 5 August 2024
- Road525564303601 contributionMajor Disappointment at Nick UniverseWhen you only have one great ride in the park, it should be a priority to get it open. In the case of Nickelodeon Universe, that ride is TMNT Shellraiser. We got there today and were told that it would be closed for the day, and it had been closed for the past six months. The fact that the staff just simply don’t care enough to get this ride at least running one train is insane, and they either need to hire more staff, or get some sense put into them, or both. With Six Flags only an hour down the road, they seriously need to step up their operations. By the way, other rides such as Sandy’s were closed too. The only reason I’m not giving this one star is because the theming in the park is well done, but if your best rides aren’t running, then there really isn’t a point to a good atmosphere. Overall this was just a huge disappointment; a park with operations this out of hand don’t deserve to have a world-class ride like TMNT Shellraiser in its roster.Hello Road, We would like to start off by saying that we do appreciate your detailed review on our park. It’s understandable to be frustrated when our park has its standout ride closed for an extended period, especially if it’s one of the main reasons you visited. We close rides to ensure the safety of everyone at the park, both staff and guests. I assure you that we care deeply about our park and its guests and that is why the ride is closed, because we want to ensure everyone is safe. It is good to hear that you enjoyed the theming of our park. Kindly please reach out to Hello Road, so that we can help you to the best of our ability. -GregWritten 20 August 2024This response is the subjective opinion of the management representative and not of Tripadvisor LLC.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 7 August 2024
- Explorer444956582731 contributionFirst time visiting Nickelodeon Universe: definitely not the best day ever…Came here on a busy Friday and rides were having technical difficulties left and right. In 3 hrs I witnessed seven instances of rides having difficulties. Took nearly an hour to get on Atom Smasher due to 13 out of 20 seats not in use. Wasn’t able to go on three rides I had been looking forward to. If you’re coming here for far away, keep in mind that this park is open 365 days a year, so break downs are unfortunately bound to happen. Just crazy how many there were in the little time I had. I would say I still got my moneys worth and would visit again.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 9 August 2024
- Royvi S1 contributionDo not waste your money in this broken theme park.I highly do not recommend this park, especially with 6 flags being located 1 hour down the road and Nickelodeon tickets being more expensive than 6 flags tickets. Another thing, I was only able to get on 3 rides in 7 hours because majority of the rides were not opened due to technical difficulties. This place needs complete renovation and will not be coming back until there are major changes. Definitely didn’t even get half of my money’s worth.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 August 2024
- Quan L1 contributionJust ok if you like Nickelodeon then worth a visitThis place is very overwhelming even we went on a weekday. It is tightly squeezed all rides next to each other and most of the staffs aren’t too friendly for a first time visitor. Needed for help at purchasing tickets at the guest service and the staffs were rude. Spent close to $200 for 3 tickets and only stayed 4 hours.Visited August 2024Travelled with familyWritten 15 August 2024

Originally, we visited this theme park when it first opened in October 2019. We knew going in that a couple of the roller coasters had not opened yet due to permit issues. However, when we arrived, we were extremely disappointed to find out that only one roller coaster was open (the "kiddie" coaster) and it had a ridiculously long line as a result. Despite a couple of the other roller coasters being in operation, both of them were closed on our visit. The only other attractions open were a few flat rides...and I actually do mean only 3 or 4.
After only an hour in the park (after driving an hour from south NJ), we went to the ticket counter and were given vouchers for 100% off a future ticket. Perfect! We will simply come back when all of the rides are operating. And then the pandemic happened...
Today, after seeing that the park was indeed open and all attractions were operating, we decided we would return later this month for my birthday. I pulled the vouchers and noticed they expired October 2020. Surely they would make an exception due to being closed the majority of 2020 like most other theme parks in the US. I called and explained the situation, offering that I knew they expired but we couldn't use them during the pandemic.
I was then told that they only extended these vouchers to December 2020 (did not notify anyone of this) and they could no longer accept them. So American Dream/Nickelodeon Universe required their customers to visit in 2020 during a pandemic, putting us at risk, and now refuse to extend the vouchers they legitimately gave us because we did not come during their established time frame?
Ok, that's fine. We'll just never visit this place again and instead go to Six Flags Great Adventure who extended ALL 2020 annual passes through the end of 2021 for free.

Not very impressed with the line up here and when you throw in a full day price for a half a day of “fun” you have a recipe for disaster. If you’re in the second group of the day, you’ll find the staff is ready to go and rides will close 10/15/30 minutes early. While this wouldn’t normally be an issue, saying the park is over priced is an understatement only to have the rides close early. Definitely feel cheated and like I received little to no value. We spoke to the ride supervisor about the issue and he told us plain to our face after the park was closed “What do you want me to do, open rides just for you?” And that “Nothing was closed early” despite us watching him close the rides queues with our own eyes. We explained that something for the future would be fine, we just didn’t expect rides to close early after only getting half a day for full price. He supposedly took our name and number but 4 months later we never heard from them. No worries though, the won’t be hearing from us or our wallets anymore either. Funny to see them keep raising prices to compensate. Clearly they don’t get how this is supposed to work. Oh well, rode everything and have no desire to return.

I was impressed with the number and quality of the rides crammed into the space available. The roller coasters are as good as any major amusement park. Unfortunately, the $90 per person cost is prohibitively expensive. The fact that parents with smaller kids must pay the full fee even when they won’t be using the rides, makes this a place I will not go back to.

We brought two 12 year olds to the Mall/Attractions during CT Spring Break. Spent a day at the Water Park which was great. Nick Universe not so much. We paid Peak prices for tickets and the biggest rides are all closed for “maintenance”.
Given that the park is only open 11-7, there are many overnight hours when this could be performed so as not to affect the customer experience.
We are extremely disappointed today that all of the more “adult” options are not available.
TMNT Shellraiser, Sandy’s Blasting Bronco, Skyline Scream…
Before you come, check which rides are open so you can save yourselves $100 a ticket for so many similar rides they can experience at local carnivals. As there are no companion or spectator tickets that’s an extremely large expense.
FYI when we booked our vacation these rides were not listed as closed, and due to Spring Break dates we did not have the option to cancel closer to the timing of the vacation.
Giving feedback via live chat on their website just gets you a generic “I’ll give that feedback to management”.
I can’t recommend you bring a family here with tweens or teens (or adults) here unless those rides are ALL open and paying Peak rates for this experience has been even more painful than it would have been otherwise.

We visited this place while trying to find something to do with the kids on a rainy day and staying in NYC. As we walked in it was magical. I don’t think its worth the $192 I paid for three people. My son was Free (2yo). Food is very pricy with hardly any variety. Its a small place, lines are huge (worst than Disney) and the hardest thing is having to wait in line with small children, nothing interactive to do while in the line, a lot of kids were very anxious to ride and crying. Overall, too expensive!

terrible just like the water park.. so here's the thing. You can buy points for rides 30 dollars for 18 points. you can also get unlimited for 80.they have 3 point kiddie rides and 6 points for Rollercoaster and others. you are allowed to walk around without tickets in the park. we did. half the rides were not working so we decided to buy points because we would only need about 60 dollars worth..the Friday we went there was a no point system due to a special event that didn't involve us , so we were forced to buy 3 tix at 80 dollars each for 240...instead of paying maximum 60...there was no limit on attendance . there had to be 4000 people in there . no places to sit. no characters came out. yet the sign did they would. lines were so long you couldn't move.. the people operating rides weren't even getting them off the ground , just spinning them to cycle through people faster..biggest waste of money for the 2 hours we were there. If you live nearby take the chance on a midweek day , call for ride closures, make sure your kid is over 50 inches because 48 inch minimum for them doesn't matter...my kid is 49 and couldn't go on rides in water park or here..I will continue to write as many bad reviews on every site so the place will not steal others money.. worst experience ever..stay away

The theme park should have waited until everything was up and running to open. It’s as if they did not take into consideration that children were arriving.
I say this because, the lines were extremely long. We were there for 4 hours and only got on 2 rides. Some of our family only 3 rides. There aren’t activities for children of shows. Only 2 shows per day. The food selection for children was less than mediocre. Only 1 concession stand with hot food items for such a large crowd. Then the food WAS EXPIRED!!! All the salads and sandwiches were EXPIRED. Be sure to double check the dates before you purchase anything!! Being in there felt claustrophobic as if the air quality was bad. There needs to be better purification.

Went to the park 3/2/2020. The park is very bright and warm. For a Tuesday it was as expected very empty. Some rides were closed but it wasn’t horrible. The rides were pretty fun, they were different then what I have been on in the past. There really isn’t any food just snack foods like hot dogs and nachos if your into wraps they did have them. But no hot food. The mall isn’t open yet so unless you plan to spend a long time there I would say it’s not worth the $73.57 per ticket. Was sticker shocked when we arrived. There are no showes or cute things, characters like Patrick were super nice and funny!
Pro:brings your childhood TV characters to life, 90s babies will enjoy parking was free . Give you free 60mins for single use lockers is you don’t pay for lockers they have a small space for items clean bathrooms
Cons: very over priced. Not a ton of options for rides for adults not much options for food, getting to location was difficult. No gift shop. Overpriced single use lockers.
Overall good for 1 time deal not worth going back again

We visited Nickelodeon last weekend with our four year old twin grandchildren. The lines are ridiculously long. The three hours we were there my grandson didn't get on one ride because the lines were so long. For 55 dollars a person including those like myself who aren't going on rides this is ridiculous. There is no control over the amount of people who can enter. To make matters worse the few places that kids can play without going on rides you have 12 years olds plus coming down slides and playing in the same area as 2-4 years olds. I am shocked no one has gotten seriously injured yet. We will not go back and I highly advise against going here.

We went during the middle of the week with middle and high school kids. Our school was closed while most were in session, so the amusement park was pretty empty and other than the ropes course, the lines ere not long at all. One of the workers told us we were lucky as the weekends are a complete madhouse. The website tells you what rides are closed and that morning it said one ride. Once we arrive there, there were two rides closed and two roller coasters were shut down for a good hour. There was an addition ride still under construction. For $69 (that's the full ride ticket price), all rides should be open. The kids enjoyed every ride they went on and went on them multiple times, but that's because there were so few rides to actually go on. You're paying six flags and disney prices for a tiny park. There was only one food stand with prepackaged sandwiches, snacks, yogurt, drinks and hotdogs. Pack and bring your own food! Small hotdogs are $7, yogurt $6 and sodas $3. Nothing is open in the mall to get food at so you're stuck with park food. For what I pad for a family of three, I could have spent a night at an indoor water park in the Poconos. This park was a one time visit.

Are there any rides that you can bring a baby on? On the website it says even the basic rides that you can normally carry a baby on like the carousel have a minimum height requirement of 36 inches which sounds crazy to me. So I was wondering if anyone has brought a baby and if so, were you allowed to bring them on anything?
Written 21 April 2022
You can bring a baby but honestly it is not worth the money they are very few rides for babies or very very extreme nothing in the middle

I would say the first 2 hours of the park being open. We went on a Saturday and for 2 hours, my kids could do anything - ride anything/ no lines. Then- it was like the whole world showed up. If you can’t be there at opening, I would not go.
