Nice place to walk, rest, read a book, relax. Not many visitors. Flowers in bloom on display in the welcome center. Quiet (albeit there is a highway close by (Rte 287), with high concrete sound barrier). Nice location for macro and flower photography, but impossible...More

My sister brought us here to explore these gardens and I was surprised at how much they offered. Even in the fall there was much to enjoy with water features, garden paths, and lots of natural beauty it would be fun to come back in...More

This is a carefully planned garden with lots of rocks and waterways. We were there right after a small shower, so that may have been why it appeared so pristine. Every thing was just stunning. Large amount of plants collected from around the world. Yes,...More

This is a really really nice park... but... it's right right next to US 287 which is very very noisy especially at rush hour. So my strategy has been to bring a music player and wear headphones that cover my ears so it drowns out...More

Although I don't view this spot as a "destination" garden, if you live nearby its definitely worth the visit. It's nestled in a gorgeous area and worth the drive from the Far Hills train station on up. You'll pass gorgeous estates and lush greenery. The...More

Nice little escape into nature, especially when the seasons are changing. I took an out-of-town friend here one spring afternoon and we really enjoyed it. As another reviewer mentions, the only thing that disappoints is the hideous sound of Route 78 right next door. But...More

This 33 acre lush green public garden operated by the Somerset County Park Commission is awesome. It is a very nicely maintained space with well - watered expanses of lush green grass, bridges, ponds, little waterfalls, clean hiking paths, and tons and tons of flowers...More

We visited on a beautiful fall day, most of the trees still had their leaves and it made for a nice backdrop for taking photos. We spent about an hour and a half walking the trails taking pics and resting on the many benches. We...More

Hi! It's in New Jersey, 11 Layton Rd, Far Hills, NJ 07931. Depending on where you are staying you can take an Uber or ask your hotel if they have a shuttle service there (that's how I got there the first time)

A slow walk-through of the main trail can be done in an hour or so. If you want to sit and admire the view, or try the secondary paths you can spend another hour or more. However, there is not much to see this time of year... More
